The first River Cruise line I would like to mention is Crystal.
Crystal has both Ocean and River cruises, but we are going to focus on the River cruises for this page.
Crystal has quite a few destinations, they sail to the Danube, Rhine, Main and also the Moselle, and many other locations.

The legendary Rhine Cruise! You can go from either Amsterdam to Basel or Basel to Amsterdam

With Crystals extended Land & sea packages, you can add a hotel stay before or after your river cruise.
This way you get to explore the area even more. Your transfers are typically included, so you don’t need to worry about getting to the ship on time or navigating local transportation.

Taking an AmaWaterways cruise is one of the best ways to see European culture, you can also go to the Asian river cruises, or Africa river cruises and see the world in luxury and comfort. One of the things I love about the Africa River cruises is that when you go on an African safari land tour, they can’t 100% guarantee that you are going to see the majestic animals. So you spend so much money and you don’t have a promise that you will see the animals. But, with a river cruise, you will! You are cruising right down their watering hole. The animals have to come! In fact, many of the pictures in their brochures are taken by their clients. So, you will 100% see the animals you desire to see.
You can’t get much closer than that!
The other itinerary that I want to highlight that is just amazing on Amawaterways is their Christmas market cruise! This goes to such amazing places as Basel Switzerland, Cologne Germany, Neinburg Germany and Riquewihr France. Just to name a few places and they stop at all the Christmas markets in each area. The items at these markets are all handmade. Nothing mass manufactured and they are high in the local culture. Having my heritage from Austria and having a German background this is an amazing cruise for me. I could do all my Christmas shopping in one cruise!
These cruises run from November to the last week of December and they do sell out. So, we need to get you booked at least a year in advance. But, the anticipation is worth it!
